I absolutely loved the charming and cozy atmosphere at the hostel. The decorations were so delightful and made me feel right at home. The general areas were well-maintained and had a warm ambiance. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, making sure that I had everything I needed during my stay. It was a great place for older folks like me to relax and enjoy a peaceful vacation.
If I could ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be to have more seating options in the common areas. Sometimes it was a bit difficult to find a comfortable spot to sit and relax, especially if the place was busy.

The room I stayed in at Xalet Refugi Pere Carné was a delightful experience. Waking up to the breathtaking mountain views and the warm morning sunshine was simply magical. It made me feel connected to nature and energized for the day ahead. As an adventure traveler, this was exactly what I needed to start my day on a positive note.
Personally, I found the shared bathrooms a bit inconvenient. However, this is just my subjective opinion and I understand that some guests may not mind it at all.

The panoramic valley views from the dining room were absolutely breathtaking. It felt like I was dining on the top of the world, surrounded by majestic mountains. The outdoor activities offered by the hostel were simply amazing. I had the opportunity to go hiking and the guides were so knowledgeable and made the experience unforgettable. The bar and lounge areas were perfect for relaxing after a day of outdoor adventures. I loved sitting by the fireplace with a drink in hand, enjoying the cozy atmosphere. The free WiFi in the guestrooms was a great convenience. It allowed me to stay connected and share my incredible experiences with friends and family. The bike workshop was a fantastic addition. It made it so easy for me to explore the beautiful countryside on two wheels and the storage and cleaning facilities ensured that my bike was always in top condition. The location of the hostel in Catalunya's Cerdanya region was ideal. The surrounding countryside was stunning, offering endless opportunities for exploration and relaxation.
The radiator in the room made some noises in the morning when the heating came on.
